"Amazing Yogyakarta Tour!!!"
Excellent visit with my family to Yogyakarta, Indonesia, and a must see is Borobudur, very ancient Buddhist temple where there’s still lots of unanswered questions. There’s also Prambanan Temple (picture above), very old Hindu temple, Merapi volcano and the Sultan’s Palace. And off course shopping for batik, finest in Indonesia, handicrafts very cheap and great Indonesian food. We engage World Heritage Network that provide tours around Yogyakarta with professional guides as driver too. It was a great experience having zero problem on transport as these tourist spots are everywhere in Jogja and Borobudur Temple is also very far away from Jogja. We were just glad to have a very friendly English speaking guide as our guide though we speak almost the same language. It was recommended by our trekking friends in East Java and they gave us this email for contact:  worldheritage101@yahoo.com They are from a global tour network that provides not only transport but accommodation too and they arrange everything for my family. Their website about Jogja has tons of pictures and info to gather so you can plan your trip ahead: www.worldheritagenetwork-jogja.blogspot.com  So it is a great network to engage if you wish to visit Jogja and enjoy the fun and smooth tour that we did. Further, there are 2 shopping malls, the best is Ambarok Mall, newest. The older one is Malioboro Mall, should visit both. Jalan Malioboro is the main shopping street, you can spend the whole day there, Must visit is Mirota Batik highly recommend by our guide and I went crazy there, the batiks are so beautiful and reasonable priced. Majority of people there are very friendly, especially the sales staff at the shops, always smiling and eager to assist. With the above experiences, do include Yogja as one of your future destinations for a short break, 3 nights is sufficient and also engage a reliable guide like we did. It will definitely eliminate all the worries and inconveniences of getting from one place to another.

“Incredible Borobudur. A definitely 'must see' temple in Jogja"
Last October, we visited Borobudur on a private tour organized by World Heritage Networkwho provided us a private transport with a local guide who speaks perfect english. This place was one of the stopovers before we headed to our next destination in our tour, the Dieng Plateau, another must visit highland of Central Java. When we were there, we had a great time listening about the history of this place from our guide. Turn out that Borobudur Temple is about 1,200 years old and has a 360 degree view of the surrounding countryside which includes a panorama of several volcanoes. Borobudur is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is comprised of a large monument dotted with numerous stupas and Buddhas. It is considered to be the world's largest Buddhist structure. We were fortunate enough to visit this site when there were not too many tourists around. Our guide was so friendly as he guided us to the top of this temple and showed us different angle to view.  Without him I don’t think we would have enjoyed touring this place by ourselves. If you are looking for a good and friendly guide that provides transport and all the convenience you can get in your journey from Jogja city to this temple, try emailing them: worldheritage101@yahoo.com or check out their website:
www.worldheritagenetwork-jogja.blogspot.com for some information on this site that would help you plan your trip in Jogja. Further I must warn you. Getting there at mid-morning was sweat drenching hot. Before you get to the actual site, there are numerous souvenir stands which, though distracting, were not as annoying as other places in Asia (visiting temples in Siem Reap aka Angkor Wat can be an ordeal since you are plagued with aggressive vendors) . There is also a Visitors' Center before you enter the compound which provides water and tea and it would be best to avail yourself of these provisions since you will be doing a lot of walking in very humid conditions. Definitely a must see if you are in the area!
